MPPT control based on the H-ABC-P&O hybrid algorithm for a photovoltaic pumping system: a case study in Casablanca
摘要
Photovoltaic pumping is one of the promising applications of the use of photovoltaic energy. Water pumping is an important factor in the development of rural and remote areas in developing countries. The use of photovoltaic (PV) pumping systems for water extraction in these areas has proven to be a very reliable solution. In this article, we propose a photovoltaic pumping system using maximum power point tracking (MPPT) based on a new hybridization between two algorithms of ABC metaheuristic and P&O conventional named hybrid ABC and P&O (H-ABC-P&O) in the meteorological conditions of the city of Casablanca located in Morocco. A comparative study was carried out between the proposed algorithm, a P&O conventional algorithm, and other PSO and ABC metaheuristic algorithms. The simulation results show the efficiency of the proposed photovoltaic pumping system in terms of fast-tracking time, maximum power, the flow rate which reaches 24.45 m3/h, and the efficiency of the photovoltaic pumping system which reaches is 86.15%.
