<p>This paper focuses on the field of additive manufacturing, first combining through the previous research on additive manufacturing, clarifying the gaps that are not adequately covered by the existing research, and identifying the core issues that the research should address. Bibliometric and scientometric analysis methods are used to collect and process data with the help of degree centrality, mediated centrality, and other techniques and indicators. Through co-word analysis, keyword co-occurrence, co-occurrence emergence, and clustering analysis, research theme association is mined; co-author analysis is carried out to build national, regional, and institutional cooperation networks; co-citation analysis is carried out to build a literature co-citation network to comprehensively analyze the research situation in the field of additive manufacturing. After the discussion of the results, we present the research structure, cooperation mode, and knowledge base of this field, which will provide reference for the subsequent research on additive manufacturing and help to clarify the development vein and promote the field forward.</p>
