Magnetically Active Ceramic PEO Layers Formed on Titanium and Aluminum in Slurry Electrolytes
摘要
A brief overview of achievements in the field of plasma electrolytic formation of magnetoactive ceramic layers on aluminum and titanium substrates has been presented. Such composites are promising as protective electromagnetic absorbers, magnetic recording devices and transformers. The simplest way to obtain them is to use electrolytes with dispersed particles of magnetoactive compounds. Depending on the composition of the electrolyte for PEO processing, the chemical nature and characteristics of the particles, their incorporation into the growing coating is carried out by an inert or reaction mechanism. The paper discusses the compositions of electrolytes, process parameters and magnetic properties of the resulting coatings.
