Novel Approach to Microstructure Prediction of the Steels Isothermally Hardened at Temperature Below MS
摘要
An improved method has been proposed for predicting the microstructure formed in alloyed steels during austempering and quenching-partitioning in the temperature range of martensitic transformation. The temperature dependence of the coefficient n of the Austin–Rickett equation for modeling the kinetics of isothermal bainite transformation at temperatures below Ms was established. The developed method also considers the equilibrium of the α- and γ-phases and the formation of carbides. It is shown that the proposed method allows an increase in the adequacy of the microstructure prediction compared to the currently applied method.
