<p>The&#xa0;effects of TiO<sub>2</sub> nano-admixture in lubricating&#xa0;oil were investigated in this paper using a four-ball trimmer, model MRS-10A. The experiments were based&#xa0;on the standard&#xa0;SH-T0762-2005 and involved changing&#xa0;the&#xa0;amount&#xa0;of TiO<sub>2</sub> nano-additive in the specialized lubricants (CF-4 15W/40)&#xa0;for diesel engines from 0 to 1%. In order to evaluate the friction surface’s chemical makeup and ability,&#xa0;a wear spot diameter meter, confocal microscope&#xa0;(LCSM),&#xa0;and energy-dispersive spectrometer (EDX)&#xa0;have been used. According&#xa0;to&#xa0;experimental findings,&#xa0;TiO<sub>2</sub> nano-admixtures in lubricating&#xa0;oils at various concentrations&#xa0;both reduce friction and&#xa0;wear; however, at a&#xa0;content of&#xa0;0.5%,&#xa0;friction and wear are minimal.&#xa0;Maintaining&#xa0;the experiment with the load variable from 300 to&#xa0;700N and&#xa0;the additive content of 0.5% TiO<sub>2</sub> nanoparticles all have better&#xa0;effects on&#xa0;reducing friction and wear than pure lubricating oil.</p>

摘要

The effects of TiO2 nano-admixture in lubricating oil were investigated in this paper using a four-ball trimmer, model MRS-10A. The experiments were based on the standard SH-T0762-2005 and involved changing the amount of TiO2 nano-additive in the specialized lubricants (CF-4 15W/40) for diesel engines from 0 to 1%. In order to evaluate the friction surface’s chemical makeup and ability, a wear spot diameter meter, confocal microscope (LCSM), and energy-dispersive spectrometer (EDX) have been used. According to experimental findings, TiO2 nano-admixtures in lubricating oils at various concentrations both reduce friction and wear; however, at a content of 0.5%, friction and wear are minimal. Maintaining the experiment with the load variable from 300 to 700N and the additive content of 0.5% TiO2 nanoparticles all have better effects on reducing friction and wear than pure lubricating oil.
