摘要

Mucormycosis in the rhinomaxillary region is a rapidly progressive and potentially fatalopportunistic infection. Co-infection with herpes zoster has rarely been reported.A 40-year-old male with no known comorbidities presented with pain and ulceration onthe left side of the face, accompanied by vesicular eruptions along the dermatome of the maxillary (V2) division of the trigeminal nerve.Awareness of such atypical presentations can aid in timely diagnosis and appropriate intervention, thereby reducing the risk of severe complications. A brief literature review emphasizes the rarity and clinical implications of this coexistence.
