The Virtual Treatment Planning with Patient-Specific Plate in the Management of Mandibular Benign Tumour - A Case Report
摘要
Virtual surgical planning (VSP) in pediatric mandibular tumors represents a significant step in personalized care. Using computer-aided design, VSP enables precise 3D assessment of tumor extent and anatomy, guiding optimal surgical approaches. Benefits include detailed evaluation, tailored planning, and fabrication of patient-specific plates for accurate reconstruction—enhancing outcomes and reducing complications. We report the workflow from VSP to surgery for a plexiform ameloblastoma of the right mandibular body, managed with segmental resection and reconstruction with patient-specific plate.
