Peripheral Giant Cell Granuloma Associated with a Mandibular Dental Implant: A Case Report and Review of the Literature
摘要
Peripheral giant cell granuloma (PGCG) is a rare biological complication around implants, primarily affecting the alveolar mucosa and bone. While PGCG is associated with implant placement, its exact pathogenesis remains unclear. This article presents a case of PGCG in the mandibular anterior region of a male patient, detailing the treatment process and 4-year postoperative follow-up. The diagnosis and treatment methods are discussed, along with a review of relevant literature.
