Biochar Immobilized Copper by Increasing the Bioavailability of Phosphorus in the Continuous High Temperature Composting of Copper-Rich Pig Manure
摘要
The residues of copper (Cu) in pig manure cannot be ignored, but the influence of Cu on transformation of phosphorus (P) remains unclear in pig manure composting. This study examined the changes of the phosphorus transformation in Cu-rich pig manure treatment (PC) and biochar treatment of Cu-rich pig manure (PCB) in continuous high temperature composting, and the relationship between phosphorus and Cu fractions under these conditions was investigated. The results indicated that biochar could promote the organic phosphorus (OP) transform to inorganic phosphorus (IP), and the content of available phosphorus (AP) increased by 15.13% and 28.71% in PC and PCB, respectively. The addition of biochar enhanced the passivation of copper during continuous high temperature composting, with the PCB treatment achieving a passivation rate of 58.87%, which was higher than that of the PC treatment (49.44%) and the CK control (40.19%). The results of mantel test analysis indicated that the bioavailable Cu had a significant correlation with H2O-IP, NaOH-IP, and HCl-IP (P < 0.01) under PCB treatment, and biochar may passivation Cu by enhancing the precipitation and ion exchange of phosphate ions and Cu (II).
