How Does Goal Orientation Affect Professionals’ Change Strategies Perception?
摘要
The corporate world is constantly changing. However, despite many change initiatives, many of them fail. The strategies chosen to implement it do not consider the human perspective. This study focuses on change perception strategies and analyzes the relationship between goal orientation and change perception strategies. The influence of an innovative team climate on this relationship will also be examined. An online survey was carried out, in which 104 professionals participated. Descriptive statistics, correlations, and linear regression analysis were performed. The results make it clear that, rather than goal orientation dimensions, an innovative team climate is the most significant factor influencing the perception of all three change strategies. In addition, an innovative team climate was found to moderate the relationship between performance goal orientation and the perception of the empirical-rational, as well as the normative-and-re-educative change strategy. This study provides new information about strategies on the effective deployment of change strategies and the successful implementation of transformation processes.
