Purpose of Review <p>Summarize the current evidence and ongoing progress in immunotherapy response predictors for triple negative breast cancer (TNBC).</p> Recent Findings <p>The incorporation of immunotherapy in the treatment of TNBC, in both the early and the advanced/metastatic settings, has changed the landscape of TNBC management. However, not all patients with TNBC benefit from the addition of immunotherapy, and given the potentially serious immune related adverse effects, there is an urgent need to identify and validate biomarkers that can predict which patients are most likely to respond to and benefit from immunotherapy.</p> Summary <p>The treatment paradigm for TNBC is evolving rapidly. Immunotherapy in conjunction with chemotherapy, antibody-drug conjugates, or other novel therapeutics is emerging as a key component of TNBC treatment. This review focuses on the recent advances in immunotherapy response biomarkers at various stages of investigation and development. We also provide some insight is into how these biomarkers may be applied for patient selection and personalized management.</p>

Purpose of Review

Summarize the current evidence and ongoing progress in immunotherapy response predictors for triple negative breast cancer (TNBC).

Recent Findings

The incorporation of immunotherapy in the treatment of TNBC, in both the early and the advanced/metastatic settings, has changed the landscape of TNBC management. However, not all patients with TNBC benefit from the addition of immunotherapy, and given the potentially serious immune related adverse effects, there is an urgent need to identify and validate biomarkers that can predict which patients are most likely to respond to and benefit from immunotherapy.
