Performance analysis of concentric triple asymmetrical microring resonator based biosensor
摘要
A triple concentric microring resonator (TCMRR) in silicon-on-insulator platform is proposed for biochemical sensing. The proposed TCMRR allow greater detection sensitivity, low optical losses, enhanced modal areas as well as improved deeper notches. TCMRR offers further expanded sensing vicinity in comparison to single and double microrings which is shown using finite difference time domain simulation. The proposed biosensor offers a Q-factor of 3780 as well as provide significant shift in resonant wavelength whenever any different analyte is present in biomolecules. In this way, this TCMRR may be represented as a reliable substitute for upcoming integrated biochemical sensing applications.
