<p>The integration of biomimetic components and novel control paradigms plays a crucial role in enhancing robotic mechanics, particularly in systems emulating human sensory functions. Among such systems, constructing a robotic architecture embedded with bionic eyes presents a complex yet promising challenge. This paper reviews the ideal control strategies involved in the development of artificial eyes, with a detailed examination of their application in autonomous robotic systems. Specifically, the paper focuses on critical aspects of ocular motor control such as saccades, smooth pursuit, vergence, vestibulo-ocular reflex (VOR), optokinetic reflex (OKR), and eye-head coordination.In contrast to previous works, this review highlights emerging trends and challenges in designing coordinated movement control systems for robotic vision. The synthesis of existing models and recent advancements provides insight into both the limitations and potential solutions relevant to motion coordination in bionic vision systems. This comprehensive review is intended to serve as a foundational reference for future research efforts, offering direction for identifying unresolved issues and guiding the configuration and assessment of next-generation bionic eye control systems.</p>
