Dynamic shock wave induced rapid enhancement of optical transmittance of Urea-Doped L-Histidine hydrochloride monohydrate single crystal for photonic applications
摘要
In the present context, we have presented the experimentally proven rapid enhancement of optical transmittance of urea-doped L-Histidine hydrochloride monohydrate single crystal at dynamic shocked conditions. The structural and optical characteristics of the title crystal have been examined for the various shock pulses using analytical techniques like PXRD analysis and UV-visible spectrometry. The PXRD results under the shocked conditions demonstrate that the crystalline nature increased to a better extent. The results of the UV-visible spectrometer give undeniable proof of the optical transmittance enhancement in shocking conditions. Note that the tilted crystal has 21.2% optical transmittance at 700 nm and the 5th shocked crystal has 55.93% this kind of rapid enhancement is probably the first time for shock waves research in non-linear optical materials research. Due to the outstanding optical transmittance value, the shocked titled crystals are strongly suggested for photonic applications.
