<p>Magnetless millimeter wave and THz hexaferrite circulators based on photonic crystal technology are discussed. Some peculiarities of design of such components are highlighted and an approximate analytical method of hexaferrite resonator design is suggested. At the central frequency 102&#xa0;GHz the projected circulator based on photonic crystal slab with hexaferrite cylinder on its axis possesses the operating bandwidth about 1.4&#xa0;GHz considering the isolation level of −15&#xa0;dB and the insertion losses better than −1&#xa0;dB. The circulator has a very simple and compact structure.</p>

Magnetless millimeter wave and THz hexaferrite circulators based on photonic crystal technology are discussed.
