摘要

We are in the middle of a technology-driven era of advances at a very fast pace, especially wireless communication. Future-generation communication systems require competent Free Space Optical Communication (FSO) technology to sustain wireless traffic in next-generation services. Future communication systems may be made possible by merging FSO and radio frequency (RF) technology since their qualities complement each other. The advantages of both technologies may be used while overcoming the drawbacks of individual systems with hybrid RF/FSO. Hybrid RF/FSO wireless systems can improve the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of individual networks. In this work, a detailed comprehensive review work is done on RF, FSO, and hybrid Satellite Communication (HST) in terms of their advantages, limitations, model system, affecting turbulence, the related parameters calculated and the analysis carried out on these technologies. As part of the examination, the study examined important concepts that included various systems designs with one or more beams. The evaluation also looks at how foggy conditions and rain affect signal transmission. The main advantages, prospects for the future, and challenges that need to be overcome to succeed in the future are discussed.
