<p>This article undertakes fundamental considerations for conceptualizing a&#xa0;social pedagogical perspective on poverty and condenses these—drawing from existing poverty-related research—into a&#xa0;programmatic proposal for social work poverty research. A&#xa0;social pedagogical perspective on poverty that is based on central theoretical foundations of social work is developed. In this context, the concept of the subject is positioned as central. Furthermore, key perspectives of social work poverty research are elaborated and systematized.</p>

This article undertakes fundamental considerations for conceptualizing a social pedagogical perspective on poverty and condenses these—drawing from existing poverty-related research—into a programmatic proposal for social work poverty research.
