<p>The collaborative research project, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), examines informal cultural practices of adolescents and their local and digital relations. Through a&#xa0;qualitative–reconstructive approach, the study investigates how young people create spaces and arrangements of cultural education through interconnected digital and place-based cultural practices, forms of expression, and modes of appropriation. The study takes a&#xa0;comparative look at regional disparities both in terms of the municipal social structure of the German cities of Dortmund, Halle (Saale) and Hamburg and at the district level within each respective city.</p>
