<p>Over the past 50&#xa0;years, extensive research has been conducted on Middle Palaeozoic fish groups. Among the most significant early contributions to the study of Silurian and Devonian acanthodians was the work of Lithuanian palaeontologist Juozas Valiukevičius. In the early 1980s, he collected samples from Belarus and Lithuania, eventually compiling an extensive collection of ichthyofauna from various countries, including the Baltic States, Germany, France, Spitsbergen, Iran, Australia, and beyond. By the end of his academic career, this collection was donated to the Nature Research Centre (NRC). In recent years, taxonomic revisions of fish groups, including acanthodians, have resulted in the consolidation of species as <i>Cheiracanthus longicostatus</i>, <i>Rhadinacanthus balticus</i>, and <i>R. multisulcatus</i>, among others. Meanwhile, new taxa have been identified, including <i>Ginkgolepis tenericostatus</i>, <i>Rhadinacanthus deltosquamosus</i>, and many others. Using limited updated data from Devonian cores in Belarus and Lithuania, this study re-evaluates the taxonomic distribution of ichthyofauna within the Valiukevičius collection. For the first time, it reports in Lithuania, the presence of <i>Karksilepis parva</i>, <i>Thelodonti</i> indet., and <i>Cheiracanthus latus</i>. Moreover, <i>Turinia pagei</i> is documented for the first time in the Stoniškiai Formation. <i>Orvikuina vardiaensis</i> and <i>Orvikuina</i> sp. as well as <i>Rhadinacanthus longispinus</i>, <i>Diplacanthus crassisimus</i>, and <i>D. tenuistriatus</i> are also reported for the first time in the revised core. In Belarus, <i>Fallodentus davidsoni</i> and <i>Cheiracanthus flabellicostatus</i> are documented for the first time in the Gorodokian Formation. This revision significantly expands the palaeogeographic distribution of the listed ichthyofaunal taxa within Laurasian marine realms, enhancing Devonian biostratigraphic correlations on regional and global scales.</p>
