<p>Compared to direct current (DC) TIG welding, pulsed TIG welding is widely used in industrial production due to its deep penetration and superior weld formation. However, arcs with different pulse current waveforms exhibit distinct characteristics. This study compares the arc characteristics and welded joints of three different waveforms using an experimental platform. The results indicate that the trapezoidal pulse arc offers advantages in welding depth, achieving a penetration of 3.5&#xa0;mm at a welding current of 150&#xa0;A. The triangular pulse arc excels in weld microstructure, resulting in a significant presence of equiaxed crystals. This microstructural advantage contributes to the highest weld quality observed in the triangular wave weld, with a tensile strength of 564.48&#xa0;MPa and a hardness comparable to that of the base metal. In contrast, the sine wave pulse arc demonstrates disadvantages in the comparisons made in this study.</p>
