<p>Wildfires cause severe disturbances in stands, but they do not damage the entire stand with the same intensity. Parameters affecting the severity of wildfires must be identified and preventive measures should be taken. In this study, the severities of wildfire that occurred in Türkiye between 2020 and 2024 have been determined and their relationships with environmental parameters have been identified. To determine the severity of wildfires, the Normalized Burn Ratio (NBR) was calculated from all Sentinel-2&#xa0;A satellite images between 2020 and 2024 on the Google Earth Engine platform (GEEp) and validated using the MCD64A1.061 MODIS Burned Area Monthly Global 500&#xa0;m data, which identifies global fire boundaries. The relationship between the validated wildfire data’s severity classes and environmental parameters such as stand fuel type, canopy closures, stand development stages, distance to roads (km), power transmission lines (km), relative humidity (%) and solar radiation (mJ/m²) was identified using a Polynomial Regression and Random Forest (RF) model. According to the model results, during 2020–2024 in Türkiye, high severity classes were found in stands where stand fuel type included Pure Turkish pine species, Pure Black pine and Turkish pine species dominated Black pine species, with Mid-aged Stand development stages and canopy closures of 3 (normal): &gt;70%, roads with a distance of 0–0.5&#xa0;km for distance to roads, distance to power transmission lines was 0–3&#xa0;km, relative humidity less than 12.5% and solar radiation between 28.5&#xa0;mJ/m² and 29.5&#xa0;mJ/m². The results of this study contribute to the advancement of fire management strategies, providing guidance to managers.</p>
