<p>This paper delves into the evolving nature of international security, focusing on the strategic transformations within military thought and practice that are increasingly shaping global power dynamics. Moving beyond the traditional emphasis on high-level political decisions, it is argued that the day-to-day practices of military institutions, especially their adaptations to modern warfare, play a&#xa0;crucial role in defining a&#xa0;state’s international stance. This is shown by analyzing the development of new conceptual frameworks within NATO and the PLA.</p>
