摘要

This study explores how the perceived appeal of geomythological attractiveness influences educational tourists’ emotional and cognitive responses within the Fangshan United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Global Geopark in Beijing, China. Drawing on the Cognition-Affection-Conation (CAC) framework, we analyzed the influence of geomythology-based geotourism experiences on tourists’ happiness and satisfaction. Data was elicited using structured questionnaires distributed to secondary school students participating in an educational tourism program. Using structural equation modeling, we measured key constructs—perceived site attractiveness, happiness, and satisfaction—and examined the relationships among them. Our analysis reveals that perceived geomythological attractiveness significantly enhances both happiness and satisfaction, while happiness also mediates the effect on satisfaction. These findings highlight the emotional value of embedding mythological narratives in geotourism experiences and offer practical guidance for destination managers seeking to enrich educational tourism through culturally resonant storytelling.
