<p>Yangan-Tau Global Geopark is area of high Geodiversity. Due to the importance of this geological heritage for Yangan-Tau in terms of education, tourism, investment, business, as well as the local community, it is necessary to protect and conserve them carefully. Today, such conservation and protection of geodiversity can be obtained in line with legislation and detailed public policies at the federal and regional and local levels. Therefore, the basic question in this research is: are there legislation and public policies related to the protection and conservation of geodiversity in Yangan-Tau Global Geopark? Using quantitative, description and evaluation methods which led to the review and analysis the relevant laws and public policies of Russia at federal, regional and local levels, we have come to the conclusion that the Russian legislative system, has performed poorly in terms of approving a comprehensive law to conserve and protect the geodiversity in Yangan-Tau Global Geopark. Hence, in order to protect geodiversity, one must refer to general and scattered laws corresponding to the Abiotic elements. In addition, although the useful and effective public policies adopted by the relevant sectors, they cannot fill the gaps regarding the lack of precise comprehensive law in Yangan-Tau global Geopark, as approving comprehensive and detailed law is still one of the main policies in connection with geodiversity protection at federal, regional and local levels in Russia.</p>
