Geosites as Tourism Resources in the Laguna Brava Andean High Lagoon, a Ramsar Site from La Rioja, Argentina
摘要
The aim of this paper is to study several geosites of the Provincial Reserve Laguna Brava, located in the Bolsón de Jagüé geographical area, La Rioja province, Argentina. Seven geosites are evaluated based on relevant criteria such as location, description, scientific importance, divulgation and associated value, in order to provide new analysis tools for geological tourism resources. An inductive method was applied to analyze the collected data in the context of a multidisciplinary approach (i.e., Geology and Tourism). The results highlight: tourism and conservation policies have clearly been recognized in the studied area, the need to unify criteria with other geological interest sites of the territory to support the tourism sector’s efforts, and the importance of including geosites in the future tourism proposals.
