Ein innovativer, durch Augmented Reality (AR) unterstützter Ansatz zur individualisierten modellierenden Osteotomie der Periorbitalregion bei Patient*innen mit kraniofazialer fibröser Dysplasie
摘要
Craniofacial fibrous dysplasia (CFD) is a rare benign disease of the skeletal system that can cause pronounced craniofacial deformities. In order to restore the characteristic shape of the facial skull, modeling osteotomies are usually performed. To achieve the optimal result for the individual patient, surgical guides are produced in modern oral and maxillofacial surgery using the CAD/CAM process in order to transfer the preoperative virtual surgical planning to the surgical site in the intraoperative setting. A new approach for the augmented reality (AR)-supported use of customized osteotomy guides made of titanium is presented on the basis of two patient cases. The examples demonstrate precise clinical results and show the current state of intraoperative AR use.
