Purpose of Review <p>Fungal endocarditis is an uncommon and challenging condition diagnostically and with respect to management. Medical literature on this topic is limited to case series, meta-analysis, review articles, and expert opinion.</p> Recent Findings <p>This brief review aims to describe major themes across the broad array of potential pathogens, but with a focus on nuanced points relating to the most common etiologies. The emphasis of this review will be clinical, focusing on general and species-specific risk factors, epidemiology, diagnosis, and management.</p> Summary <p>The presentation of fungal endocarditis is non-specific and requires a high degree of clinical suspicion to make the diagnosis. <i>Candida, Aspergillus</i>, and<i> Histoplasma</i> are the most common causative agents, and while they share common trends, they have very distinct differences in epidemiology, diagnosis, and management.</p>
