Purpose of Review <p>This review summarizes current evidence of common and emerging fungal infections among the U.S.-based incarcerated population. The clinical presentations, available diagnostics, therapeutic approaches, and preventative measures are discussed.</p> Recent Findings <p>There are fungal infections well-documented in correctional facilities such as coccidiomycosis however there is a paucity of literature on many commonly encountered and emerging fungal infections in correctional facilities.</p> Summary <p>Correctional settings provide unique management challenges. Mitigation and management strategies are available for some niche fungi; however, more research on effective prevention and treatment strategies for these infections among incarcerated populations is needed.</p>
