<p>The objective of this study is to examine the pattern of injuries sustained by patients involved in wildlife animal attacks and their subsequent management in Uttarakhand (Himalayan Belt). This retrospective study included all patients who sustained injuries from wildlife animal attacks and presented to our trauma centre between January 2019 and June 2022, according to the study’s inclusion and exclusion criteria. The trauma team provided the definitive management following initial resuscitation and management according to the Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) protocol. The authors analysed the patients’ demographics, anatomical distribution of injuries, and their spatiotemporal occurrence. The study included 54 patients, with a predominance of males. Seventeen patients had a New Injury Severity Score (NISS) above 16, while four had scores exceeding 25, indicating severe injuries. All incidents occurred during daylight hours, predominantly in the last quarter of the year, with most cases reported from the Tehri Garhwal region. The patients were most commonly victims of black bear attacks. The most frequently affected anatomical sites were the head, neck, and face. Of the 54 patients, 50 were discharged, while 4 succumbed to their injuries—1 due to septic shock and three from ventilator-associated pneumonia. Hospital stays ranged from 1 to 75&#xa0;days, with an average duration of 24.75&#xa0;days. Establishing prehospital preparedness through well-defined protocols or implementing a national-level health program addressing trauma care could significantly enhance the quality of care delivered to victims. Strong collaboration between the healthcare system and health administrative authorities is essential to improve patient outcomes in such cases.</p>
