<p>Congenital absence of the portal vein is a rare congenital malformation known as Abernethy syndrome. In this paper, we report a case of Abernethy syndrome characterized by the presence of a complete portosystemic shunt, consisting of a huge aberrant venous trunk draining into the left internal iliac vein.</p>

摘要

Congenital absence of the portal vein is a rare congenital malformation known as Abernethy syndrome. In this paper, we report a case of Abernethy syndrome characterized by the presence of a complete portosystemic shunt, consisting of a huge aberrant venous trunk draining into the left internal iliac vein.
