<p>A new species in the recently re-circumscribed genus <i>Distimake</i> (Convolvulaceae) is here described. <Emphasis Type="BoldItalic">Distimake caespitosus</Emphasis> is currently known only from Brazil, restricted to the <i>Cerrado</i> domain, in the states of Distrito Federal, Goiás, and Minas Gerais. The species is characterized by an erect habit with several short erect stems, sub-sessile tri-foliolate leaves, and a villous indumentum composed of a mix of simple and 2–5-stellate hairs, covering stems and leaves. Out of the 53 species now recognized in <i>Distimake</i>, this is the fourth that is known with an erect habit, all four restricted to the Neotropical region. We here present a full description of this new species with illustrations, as well as comments on geographic distribution, conservation status, and systematics.</p>
