<p><Emphasis Type="BoldItalic">Serpocaulon biauriculatum</Emphasis> (Polypodiaceae), a new fern species endemic to the Serranía de los Yariguíes in Santander, Colombia, is described. It can be distinguished from similar species of <i>Serpocaulon</i> by its patent rhizome scales, pinnate leaves with biauriculate pinna bases, and densely pubescent laminae. <i>Serpocaulon biauriculatum</i> inhabits montane and premontane cloud forests on the western slopes of the Serranía de los Yariguíes, in and near Parque Nacional Natural Serranía de los Yariguíes. This discovery highlights the Serranía de los Yariguíes as a center of endemism and underscores the importance of continued exploration in the Colombian Andes to document and conserve its unique biodiversity.</p>

摘要

Serpocaulon biauriculatum (Polypodiaceae), a new fern species endemic to the Serranía de los Yariguíes in Santander, Colombia, is described.
