摘要

The Goodyera striata species complex (Orchidaceae) is distributed throughout Mexico and Mesoamerica. During the course of a systematic review of Goodyera from Mexico and Central America, it became apparent that two cryptic species were in need of description, here described as G. ixcanula and G. mexitesselata. Goodyera ixcanula appears to be a microendemic to the Volcán de Acatenango, whereas G. mexitesselata occurs across the mountains of Central and Southeastern Mexico.
