Ophiorrhiza alejandroi (Rubiaceae), a new endemic species, serendipitously discovered in Sultan Kudarat, southern Philippines
摘要
Ophiorrhiza alejandroi Naive, a species new to science in Sultan Kudarat of Southern Mindanao, Philippines is described and illustrated. It is comparable to O. ravifolia but can be easily recognised in having an erect habit, inconspicuously corrugated stem, dorsoventrally colliculate and puberulent leaf lamina and spreading corolla lobes with acute apices. A complete taxonomic treatment is provided including a comprehensive morphological description, diagnostic comparisons with allied taxa, phenological data, a distribution map, illustrations and a provisional conservation assessment.
