摘要

Hoya nagaensis from northeastern India, is the latest species of Hoya to be described from India. In its publication it was compared with several taxa but notably not with the morphologically similar Hoya longifolia. Here the original description, comparison tables, and photographic material of H. nagaensis are re-examined alongside specimens and published accounts of H. longifolia, correcting inaccuracies in diagnostic characters such as corolla size, indumentum, and leaf shape. No reliable morphological differences between the two taxa have been found and therefore, H. nagaensis is reduced to a synonym of H. longifolia.
