Study on modeling and validation of an improved contact force in multibody system with clearance joint
摘要
A comprehensive analysis of existing contact force models was conducted, highlighting their applicable conditions and modeling characteristics. A modified deformation factor m was included in order to offer a novel nonlinear contact force model that is based on Hertz theory and the traditional L-N force model.Subsequently, numerical simulations were performed using Newton’s coefficient of restitution as a performance evaluation metric, and the improved model was compared with other 13 published contact force models. The high precision and broad applicability were validated through numerical simulations of a journal-bearing model. Furthermore, the model was applied to study the dynamic behavior of a planar slider-crank mechanism with clearance joint, and compared with experimental data published. It can be concluded that the model can accurately predict the dynamic characteristics of clearance joints in planar mechanical systems. This provides a reliable theoretical foundation for modeling and analyzing contact problems in complex mechanical sytems.
