<p>Inspired by the thought of intrinsic geometry, the -RC-RC- mechanism was used as a prototype and analyzed. Then, based on the mechanism, a new single-degree-of-freedom mechanism with intersection-line motion characteristics was designed. The degrees of freedom of the mechanism were calculated according to the position and orientation characteristics theory and its kinematic analysis was carried out. Finally, a three-dimensional model of the mechanism was built with a specific size parameter and imported into Recurdyn for the kinematic simulation of four different intersecting forms. The operating trajectory of the mechanism is described and its simulation value is compared with the theoretical curve. The simulation results proved that the mechanism can smoothly realize the motion of the four intersecting forms of orthogonal intersection line, offset intersection line, oblique intersection line, and oblique offset intersection line, only by relying on its structure.</p>
