Performance evaluation of a common rail high-pressure fuel injection pump using DME as fuel and actual road driving evaluation of a 3.9 L diesel vehicle
摘要
The main problem of the automotive industry is the need to reduce emissions and the depleting of crude oil. One of the strategy to resolve the issues is the application of DME to the medium-duty truck. A real road of 40000 km driving testing and engine bench test experiments were used to measure the performance of environmental and reliability test of the high pressures fuel injection pump, as a key component of the medium duty common rail DME vehicle. It was confirmed that the maximum speed of the vehicle was 110 km/h when driving on the actual road, and the fuel efficiency was 2.64 km/kg when calculated per weight. Tests results on medium duty DME truck shows that the fuel system enables the benefits in fuel efficiency with DME to be realised, while using high pressure common rail DME injection which has potential for applicable strategy.
