Optimization of a grid-connected hybrid PV-wind power system
摘要
Hybrid renewable energy systems (HRES) are gaining significant interest due to their use of renewable, eco-friendly energy sources. The main objective of this work is to develop a tool for the optimum dimensioning of photovoltaic-wind (PV-wind) hybrid systems connected to the grid. This tool is implemented and used to optimize the energy characteristics of a hybrid system. A mathematical model was developed after a well-defined study. A comparative study is achieved for the most optimal combination of energy generators. In this context, the new developed tool was exploited to predict the optimal configuration of the system. The simulation results indicate that the hybrid system meet a specific customer’s energy demand at a specific time and location through an algorithm for resolving the behavior of a hybrid system. Real recordings of wind speed and solar irradiation are used for the simulation in order to test the reliability of the system.
