摘要

The continuous advancement of stent technologies since the introduction of percutaneous catheter intervention continues to pose challenges for interventional cardiologists, even after the last position paper. Selecting appropriate devices requires not only a solid understanding of current study results but also an individualized approach tailored to each patient’s specific clinical situation. Additionally, the broader use of imaging provides valuable information that enables a more personalized treatment strategy. This update of the position paper provides a comprehensive overview of the drug-coated stents, scaffolds and balloons currently available in Germany. In addition to a detailed analysis of recent studies, it particularly focuses on the clinical indications.
