摘要

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is one of the major risk factors for cardiovascular diseases (CVD, manifested as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death) and the simultaneous presence of both CVD and CKD has a significant impact on the prognosis of patients. The diagnostic and therapeutic options for CVD are often limited in patients with advanced CKD and there is little or no evidence from large clinical studies for many interventional and pharmacological forms of treatment. This consensus paper provides an overview of the particularities of CVD in CKD and summarizes the current evidence and recommendations for the treatment of patients with CVD and CKD.
