We present ET2GIS and ET2QGIS, two toolkits that integrate georeferenced eye-tracking (ET) data into mainstream GIS (ArcGIS Pro and QGIS). Built on ET2Spatial, which converts screen-space gaze into geographic coordinates, the toolkits enable GIS-native analysis and visualisation of FIX/RAW layers. ET2GIS (ArcGIS Pro toolbox) provides 3D visualisation, clustering, heat-map and kernel-density surfaces, scanpaths, and space–time cube exploration, supporting spatio-temporal analyses of gaze behaviour. ET2QGIS (open-source QGIS plugin) offers a streamlined workflow for data import, AOI assignment, duration-based visualisation, and heat-maps, prioritising accessibility and ease of use. Together, the toolkits address complementary needs: ET2GIS for advanced spatial processing; ET2QGIS for an accessible, cross-platform workflow within open-source GIS. To the best of our knowledge, these are the first publicly available toolkits that ingest georeferenced gaze layers produced by ET2Spatial and make them fully analysable inside mainstream GIS. The Discussion outlines future directions, including selective use of generative AI to assist with analyst-controlled proposals of static areas of interest (AOIs). By treating gaze events as first-class geographic features, the toolkits lower the barrier to analysing user interactions with web maps and support research in cognitive cartography, usability evaluation, and human–computer interaction.
