<p>The increasing complexity of geospatial analysis in earth sciences highlights the need for accessible, user-friendly mapping tools that do not require extensive programming skills. While conventional geographical information systems (GIS) platforms and script-based tools like the Generic Mapping Tools (GMT) offer powerful capabilities, their usability is often limited for non-expert users. Web-based GIS have emerged as a promising platform for democratising spatial data visualisation and analysis, yet many lack integration with advanced geospatial libraries. In this study, we present <i>Web-GMT</i>, a browser-based mapping tool built on PyGMT, designed to enable researchers, educators, and students to generate publication-quality 2D, 3D, and thematic maps through an intuitive, code-free interface. The platform integrates modern web technologies with a PyGMT-powered backend to support a wide range of geospatial data formats, including CSV and shapefiles, all accessible without installation. We here detail the architecture of this platform and demonstrate its capabilities through case studies relevant to earth science research and education. Web-GMT lowers the barrier to advanced geospatial visualisation, making high-quality mapping tools more accessible and fostering wider use in academic and educational contexts. The platform is freely available at <a href="http://www.web-gmt.com">www.web-gmt.com</a> and is designed as a community-driven, open-source initiative.</p>
