Knowledge graphs analysis for research on minerals in coal
摘要
As traditional mineral resources have been increasingly scarce and harder to discover, coal-hosted deposits are expected to emerge as a significant new source of minerals. However, the research on minerals in coal lacks a comprehensive and systematic combing. Therefore, this paper conducts bibliometric analysis based on natural language processing (NLP) to understand the research status of minerals in coal. Specifically, the number of publications, the distribution of journals, research topics, the researchers list, the research institutions list, and the interdisciplinary frontier are analyzed. Firstly, many articles relating to minerals in coal and their corresponding references are collected and analyzed statistically, and results reveal that the number of research on minerals in coal has grown rapidly and Fuel is the journal with the most publications in recent years. Then, through knowledge graphs analysis for research keywords, it is found that the research topics mainly consist of two research directions, including mineral elements in coal and environmental pollution. And through the knowledge graphs analysis for the co-author network and research institutions, it is found that China University of Mining and Technology and China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing) are the two core investigation institutions in analyzing the minerals in coal. Finally, through semantic information extraction, interdisciplinary frontiers in minerals in coal are also analyzed, and the results show that although engineering materials science is mostly involved in research on minerals in coal, the domain that has the largest interdisciplinary potential is information science.
