摘要

Bullying victimization is strongly associated with sleep quality in adolescents, yet the underlying mechanisms between these variables require further investigation. This study aims to explore the psychological mechanisms linking bullying victimization and sleep quality by examining the mediating roles of anxiety and social network site addiction. A cross-sectional self-reported survey was conducted among 1,570 adolescents in China, assessing bullying victimization, sleep quality, anxiety, and social network site addiction. Descriptive and correlational analyses were performed on these variables, followed by the construction of a chain mediation model. Significant positive correlations were found between bullying victimization, sleep quality, anxiety, and social network site addiction. Anxiety and social network site addiction were identified as chain mediators in the relationship between bullying victimization and sleep quality among adolescents. This study provides further insight into the intrinsic mechanisms linking bullying victimization and sleep quality in adolescents. Anxiety and social network site addiction were found to mediate this relationship, highlighting their critical roles. These findings contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of adolescent sleep quality and offer guidance for more targeted interventions.
