摘要

Given the high incidence of service failures in digital media, effective service recovery strategies are critical to digital media service providers. Using attribution theory and psychological contract theory as the theoretical basis for understanding service failure scenarios, trust factors from trust transfer theory were integrated to yield theoretical applications for service recovery scenarios. The study scope was consumers who purchased products from a livestream platform in the past year and encountered a service failure; 629 valid samples were collected. Although psychological contract violations (PCVs) affects postrecovery trust in live streamers and products, only postrecovery trust in products directly influences customer voice intention. Restoring trust in products is essential to encouraging customer feedback, repurchase intentions, and cooperation in marketing research. This paper introduces three theoretical perspectives and outlines an application model for service failure and recovery in online live streaming services that can serve as a reference for future research and may have practical applications in this field.
