Intervention effect of CBT-based poetry therapy on promoting positive psychology: randomized controlled trials on Chinese adolescents
摘要
Against the background of the increasingly serious mental health issues of adolescents, it is of great significance to explore psychological interventions that promote positive psychology of adolescents. Among these interventions, CBT-based poetry therapy has been generally considered to have positive effect on adolescents’ mental health. However, previous studies were immature in terms of interventions and weak on the empirical basis, especially lacking quantitative measurement evidence. In view of this, this study was aimed at validating the empirical effects of CBT-based poetry therapy on promoting positive psychology of adolescents, through promoting intervention program and evaluation method. In this study, a randomized controlled trial was conducted. The 70 participants were students from a vocational high school, who volunteered to sign up. They were divided into experimental group and the control group. This study selected psychological measurement tools based on the PERMA model of positive psychology, and tested the intervention effect of CBT-based poetry therapy on adolescents’ positive psychology before the experiment, after the experiment, and three months after the experiment. According to the results, it is found that CBT-based poetry therapy has a significant effect on adolescents’ positive psychology, and this effect can be extended to three months after treatment. The mechanism of this effect is mainly about the transformation from negative psychological content into positive ones. In summary, there is a need for continued development of CBT-based poetry therapy in the future to help more adolescents develop positive psychological resource.
