<p>Children’s Friendship Training Program (CFT) is an evidence-based parent-assisted intervention for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), addressing key areas of social functioning. The objective of this study was to examine the treatment effectiveness of a Pakistani version of CFT for enhancing social skills through a randomized controlled trial. Participants included 54 autistic children, between 7 and 12 years of age. randomly assigned to a treatment group or delayed control group. Primary outcome measures included questionnaires related to social skills and quality of play. Assessments were made at pre-treatment, post-treatment, and maintenance effect at 12-week follow-up. Results revealed significant intervention-based improvements in the social skills of the children (<i>p</i> &lt;.05). The findings of the current study suggest that the Pakistani version of CFT for autistic children appears to be effective with modest cultural adjustments.</p>
