摘要

As a gradually strong employment group, gig workers have attracted widespread attention from various sectors regarding labor security. However, sufficient attention still needs to be paid to the sustainability of their career development. Study 1 used Nvivo’s coding principles to construct a measurement index for the employability of gig workers. A four-dimensional employability measurement scale was ultimately formed, including learning ability, career cognition, job demand matching, and platform operation specification. Study 2 was based on the conservation of resources and used 220 survey data as samples. SPSS 25.0 and Mplus 7.4 statistical analysis software were used to test the relationship between meaningful work, thriving at work, and employability and the moderating effect of algorithmic control perception between thriving at work and employability. The research results indicate that gig workers’ sense of thriving at work plays a partial mediating effect between their perception of meaningful work and their employability. Secondly, this study found that the algorithmic control perception of gig workers moderates the mediating effect of thriving at work. The findings explore the intrinsic relationship between meaningful work and employability, and expand the role of thriving at work and algorithmic control perception in the work process.
