A physical framework to harmonize human interaction analysis across disciplines

Dialogue analysis is a pivotal activity in clinical psychology, routinely performed during diagnostic assessments and anamnesis. However, existing methods often suffer from being ad-hoc, lacking compatibility with manual analysis, or failing to produce variables that align with computational or algebraic analysis. The Trognon Topological and Kinetic (2TK) model addresses these challenges by providing a unified language for both practitioners and researchers, facilitating cross-inference between clinical observations and research. This study employs the 2TK model in a specific framework to assess discourse organization in schizophrenia, a condition characterized by significant discourse anomalies. By introducing the topological deviation paradigm, the study quantitatively measures discursive coherence at the dialogical scale, enabling the differentiation of control participants from individuals with schizophrenia, as well as treated and untreated schizophrenic patients. These data suggest that the 2TK model could be capable to overcome methodological limitations of previous frameworks and open pathways for interdisciplinary applications in clinical and computational settings.
